BURGER SEASONING RECIPES AND TIPS

Smash Burger

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Serves 4

Smash Burgers are super easy to make at home, with those cripsy edges and juicy flavour they are soo good.

Shopping List

  • Misty Gully Burger Seasoning
  • 500 grams ground beef (80/20 for best flavour & fat)
  • Burger Buns
  • American cheese
  • Butter or oil (for toasting buns)
  • Option toppings: pickles, diced onions, lettuce, tomato, ketchup, mustard, mayo

Method

  1. In a bowl, sprinkle burger seasoning and mix into beef
  2. Divide into 4 equal balls ( dont overwork it, just lighlty form them)
  3. Butter the buns and toast them on a skillet or griddle until golden. Set aside
  4. Heat pan (cast iron works best) over medium-high heat until very hot
  5. SMASH TIME, place the beef ball on the hot pan. Using a smash burger press or a sturdy spatula, smash the beef down flat. Add another sprinkle of Burer seasoning for extra flavour
  6. Dont touch it !! Let it cook for 2-3 minutes until the edges are brown and crispy
  7. Flip and add slice of cheese and cook for another 1-2 minutes
  8. Place cheese patty on toaste bun. Add any additional toppings and sauces.

 Tips

  • Use a SUPER hot pan to get those crispy edges
  • Make smaller balls and double stack patties if your extra hungry
