Shrimp Seasoning

SHRIMP SEASONING – RECIPE IDEAS AND TIPS

Quick and Easy Grilled Shrimp

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Serves 4

A simple yet delicious dish. Served as a side or make it the main attraction with a side of rice.

Shopping List

  • 2 Teaspoons Misty Gully Shrimp Seasoning
  • 500grams shrimp (pealed and deveined)
  • 2 tablespoons crushed garlic
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons cold butter
  • Fresh Parsley (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Method

  1. Marinate the Shrimp – Combine olive oil, shrimp seasoning and lemon juice in a bowl, add shrimp and toss to coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate for 15 – 30 minutes.
  2. Heat your pan to a medium-high heat and add half the butter and garlic
  3. Cook shrimp for 2 minutes per side or until they turn pink. Be careful not to overcook
  4. Add remaining butter and simmer for 2 minutes.
  5. Remove from pan and serve with leomon wedges and parsley to garnish.

Tips

  • Be careful not to overcook your Shrimp. They should only need 2-3 minutes per side.
  • If cooking on skewers, soak your skewers in water for a few minutes to prevent them breaking and burning
  • If cooking on the BBQ, melt the butter and baste on shrimp once they have been skewered

Serves 4

Butery Grilled Lobster Tail ready in 30 minutes.

Shopping List

  • 2 Teaspoons Misty Gully Shrimp Seasoning
  • 4 Lobster tails
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon Kosher salt

Method

  1. Cut the top of the lobster shell lenghtwise, stopping at the tail fins
  2. Gently pull the lobster meat up through the slit, keeping it attached at the tail end
  3. Light score the meat and season with Misty Gully Shrimp Seasoning
  4. In a bowl, combine melted butter, lemon juice, lemon zest, parsley, minced garlic and a pinch of Shrimp seasoning.
  5. Preheat grill to a medium heat
  6. Brush lobster tails with olive oil and place flesh side down on the grill
  7. Grill for 5-6 minutes, then flip and brush with garlic and herb butter
  8. Continue to frill for another 5-6 minutes until the lobest is opaque and cooked through
  9. Remove from grill, garnish with some parsley and serve with lemon wedges

Tips

  • Fresh v Frozen – if using frozen, make sure it is thawed completely before cooking
  • The fastest and safest way to defrost lobster tails is to place them in cold water for 30 minutes
  • Stop your Lobster tails from curling up by inserting a skewer into each tail before grilling
  • Always grill tail side down first
